HMS Associates are bound by our Code of Conduct which is very largely based
on that developed by The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. At
all times HMS Associates will endeavor to enhance the standing and good
name of the profession by: seeking
to continually improve their performance and update and refresh their
skills and knowledge seeking
to achieve the fullest possible development of people for present and
future organisational
needs and encouraging self-development by individuals seeking
to adopt in the most appropriate way, the most appropriate people
management processes and structures to enable client organisations
to best achieve their present and future objectives promoting,
and themselves maintaining, fair and reasonable standards in the
treatment of people who are operating within scope of their influence promoting,
and themselves seek to exercise, employment practices that remove unfair
discrimination including but not limited to gender, age, race, religion,
disability and background respecting
legitimate needs and requirements for confidentiality using
due diligence and exercising high standards of timeliness,
appropriateness and accuracy in the information and advice they provide
to employers and employees seeking
to recognise
the limitations of their own knowledge and ability and must not
undertake activity for which they are not yet appropriately prepared or,
where applicable, qualified. exercising
integrity, honesty, diligence and appropriate behaviour
in all their business, professional and related personal activities acting
within the law and not encouraging, assisting or acting in collusion
with employers, employees or others who may be engaged in unlawful
conduct.
In
the first instance, any complaints about HMS or its Associates should be
directed to the Lead Associate. However, any person, whether or
not a member of CIPD, may complain to the Institute that a member has
been guilty of conduct which is not in accordance with the provisions of
this code and/or where that conduct appears likely to bring discredit to
the Institute or the profession. Such conduct will be considered under
the terms of the disciplinary procedure. |
