Qualification

ILM Level 5 Diploma in Management

 

Duration

 Minimum of 220 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, to be completed normally within one year, or up to a maximum of three years

Structure and
Content

bulletAn induction lasting 3 hours
bulletMinimum 7 hours' tutorial guidance for assessments for the full award, or pro rata for single modules, plus
bulletSeven 30 hour modules (see grid) comprising a total of 5 segments per module. Each module is broken down into core & optional segments of 6-hours each.
Offered either as an Integrated programme or as a Modular programme, where modules can be completed and certificated individually.

Learning and
Development

 Flexible, to suit the requirements of participants, sponsors and Centres. May include elements of open/distance/online to complement a minimum of 30 hours of workshops. Collaborative learning is essential, and may be achieved by provision of an Extended Learning Experience or residential period. Reflective learning and continuing professional development are also essential features of the programme, to be achieved through the CPD Statements.

Assessment

 Each participant must complete to a satisfactory national standard
bulletEITHER seven Work-based Assignments (approximately 1200 words each) based on a single module OR fewer, WBAs, combining modules and pro rata in length and complexity.
bulleta Management Report of 4000-5000 words
bulletan individual Interview with the External Verifier PLUS
bulleta summative Continuing Professional Development Plan

 Entry Requirements

 Participants will normally be either practising or aspiring middle managers. Whilst there are no formal educational requirements, learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.

ILM Membership

 Candidates who achieve the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Management will be eligible to apply for the minimum grade of Affiliate Membership (AInstLM). Those who achieve the ILM Level 4 Diploma in Management are eligible to apply for the minimum grade of Membership (MInstLM).For more details e-mail membership@i-l-m.com.
